How renewal reminders work (and what you should do)

Overview

We may send renewal reminders to the registrant contact email on file. Delivery is not guaranteed (spam filters, inbox issues, etc.).

Reminder Timing

For many gTLDs, reminders may be sent approximately:

  • ~30 days before expiry
  • ~5 days before expiry
  • ~5 days after expiry

Timing and content can vary by TLD and operational considerations.

Your Responsibility

  • Keep registrant email/contact details current.
  • Monitor expiry dates in your GetOn dashboard.
  • Renew early to avoid downtime and recovery fees.
